Showreel & 3D samples

As a Multimedia designer I am not only focused on layouts and graphics but even more in the field of moving images and timing. The worlds I create are two dimensional and even 3D. The showreel displays an selection of my motion design work from 2012 to 2014 and the 3D reel some samples of effects in created in Cinema 4D.

Media Spaces & Projections

Some of the most interesting motion design projects I have done so far were in cooperation with the famous Berlin media space design collective Flora&FaunaVisions. The creative team led by the Scottish architect and creative director Leigh Sachwitz have been visualising big screen media projections in international archi-tectural landscapes since 1998.

Hennessy Black

Designing mood boards later used in the final motion design loop, I introduced the style for club visuals to launch the new Hennessy Black.

FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2011

The major event was an impressive festival with a huge motion projection on the 30 meter high ski ramp at the opening ceremony.
As part of the motion design team I was re-

sponsible for designing
a cartoon carnival scene (sample, bottom left).
Germany's TV channel ARD broadcasted the ceremony (bottom right).

Opening of the
Autowelt Zurich

The AMAG AG is a big luxury car dealer in Switzerland and a year long customer of Flora&

FaunaVisions. For the opening ceremony of the Autowelt Zurich Hall they wanted the AMAG history projected on a uniquely shaped screen in the dining area of the event.

Miss Fortune Opera

Throughout all the com-

merical events Flora&

FaunaVisions have an big interest in designing for cultural events like charities, fashion shows and even modern operas. One of my projects with them was to create an storyboard for a stage projection of the opera Miss Fortune. It was the last scene when the two main characters get into the final contention.

Advertising & Image campaigns

Moving my base from the creative melting pot of Berlin to the media capital of Hamburg (Germany) I started with a small independent advertising film production Art Castel, getting myself closer to ad film editing and professional film crew work. I was responsible for editing image films for major clients.

IFA gala trailer

The IFA ('Internationale Funk Austellung'), an international electronic exhibition, is one of the biggest technology
events in Germany with hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

I edited the footage and mixed the sound for the TV trailer for the event in 2013.

Lotto NORD

These two short TV ads were produced from Art Castel for Germany's national lottery. I was part of the post production team as well as the film crew on set.

Indoo ice arena

The biggest open air ice skate park in Europe, located in Hamburg's central park, needed a new image. My task was to edit old and new filmed foot-

ages into this final short film, as well as selecting
the music and mixing the sound.

This local image film was successful with over 6.000 views on youtube up to date.

Bachelor & university projects

Most of the projects I completed in university are the result of a mix between motion design and graphic still images. To be able to create space in two and even three dimensions and the ability to tell a story in a few minutes or even seconds gives me extra freedom to use my creativity as a designer.

'animations'

Read about this Bachelor

thesis in the graphic section .

The animation and motion effects are kept as simple as the illustrations to create  uniformity and the illusion of T-shirt graphics that 'come to life'. Every animation reveals the reason to donate for a specific kind of charity project linked to the dif-

ferent theme on every shirt. In this way the animation educates the viewer of the particular charities.

Space Trip panorama

This panoramic projection project takes the audience into an elevator which
shoots up into the uni-

verse. The intention of this fictional ride gets bigger through the immersion of being in an enclosed sur-

rounding which reminds the audience of an ele-

vator in cylindric shape.

This was a team project.

The wake of devastation

1986 was the year of the first big nuclear desaster on our planet, known to the public mostly by one word only: Tschernobyl.

The devestating details experienced by Pripjats population in April '86 are captured in this short

motion clip which I ani-

mated out of recents photographs.

The leading question remains: What is left today?
